1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Jortty services. By using our website or products, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Who We Are
JORTTY, INC. operates Jortty services from 1016 Clare Ave, Suite 5, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. Contact: hello@jortty.com.
3. Definitions
- Jortty Shield: Chrome extension for automatic scam detection while browsing.
- Jortty Navigator: AI chat guidance in the extension for paid plans.
- Scamify: service that analyzes suspicious emails and messages.
- TechConnect: marketplace and matching features for local tech help (launching in phases).
- Services: the website, extension, apps, and related tools operated by Jortty.
4. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter a binding agreement to use paid services. If you are under 18, use of Jortty must be with parent or guardian consent. We do not knowingly provide services to children under 13.
5. Description of Services
Jortty Shield
Jortty Shield scans webpages to identify scam risk and may display warning overlays on high-risk pages.
Jortty Navigator
Navigator is user-initiated AI guidance for online tasks, such as reading suspicious emails or finding the right button on a page.
Scamify
Scamify analyzes forwarded emails and uploaded suspicious messages.
TechConnect
TechConnect features may be released in phases. Additional service terms may be posted when those features launch.
6. What AI Can and Cannot Do
Shield: Shield can miss scams and can sometimes flag safe pages by mistake. You remain responsible for your own decisions online.
Navigator: Navigator provides guidance only. It is not legal, medical, financial, tax, or professional advice.
Scamify: Scamify results are informational and risk-based, not guaranteed fact determinations.
7. Subscription Plans and Billing
- Free: core protection features and limited usage.
- Premium: paid features including Navigator and expanded usage.
- Elite: highest-tier paid features and priority support options.
Plans may be monthly or annual and may auto-renew until canceled. You can manage billing in your account at dashboard.jortty.com.
Unless required by law, paid fees are non-refundable once charged for a billing period.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse Jortty services. Prohibited activity includes reverse engineering, abuse, fraud, harassment, illegal activity, or attempts to bypass usage limits and security controls.
9. Intellectual Property
All Jortty software, design, branding, models, and detection logic are owned by JORTTY, INC. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the services under these Terms.
10. Third-Party Services
Jortty interacts with third-party services and websites. We are not responsible for third-party content, terms, or system behavior outside our control.
11. WARRANTY DISCLAIMER
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JORTTY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Plain-English version: we work hard to keep Jortty useful and reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be perfect, available, or right in every case.
12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JORTTY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING SCAM-RELATED FINANCIAL LOSS.
JORTTY'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO JORTTY IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Jortty from claims arising from your misuse of the services, violation of law, or breach of these Terms.
14. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe an account violates these Terms, creates security risk, or fails required payments. You may stop using the services at any time and can request account deletion per our Privacy Policy.
15. Service and Extension Updates
Jortty services may change over time. Chrome extensions may update automatically through the Chrome Web Store. Continued use after updates means you accept the updated service behavior and terms.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by Florida law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Except where prohibited by law, any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services will be resolved by binding individual arbitration in Palm Beach County, Florida. You and Jortty each waive any right to a jury trial and any right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court where eligible, and either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property misuse or unauthorized access/security abuse.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the website, dashboard, extension, or email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
18. SMS / Text Messaging (Jortty Elite)
Jortty Elite subscribers are assigned a dedicated Jortty phone number they can text or call to ask whether a message is a scam or to get help with their phone, apps, and online safety. Jortty replies with conversational, plain-language guidance. This is recipient-initiated, conversational messaging — we do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
Consent. By subscribing to Jortty Elite and providing your mobile number, you agree to receive text messages from your dedicated Jortty number in connection with the service. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Opt-out & help. Reply STOP to any message to cancel texts at any time (reply START to resume); reply HELP or email hello@jortty.com for help. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy. No mobile information — including your phone number and opt-in/consent data — is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
